Cellphone in rice and phone with potential water damage?

I am a cell phone repair technician. The rice trick may dry out your phone, but the dust from the rice will eventually cause more damage than the water did. Remove the battery and the back, and put the phone on the dash of your car with the windows up for the day. It will dry up the water that was in it.
