Will my tattoo turn out ok?

I got my first tattoo yesterday, and when he transferred the outline from the paper to my arm, he didn't like the positioning and asked me to scrub it off. Well, when the ink wouldn't come off, I grabbed a clean scotch brite pad, like a moron, and scrubbed it off along with some skin. I was in a hurry and didn't think things through, so my arm was very raw when he did the tat. This morning when I woke up, it looks like I've got road rash on my arm. The tattoo looks fine, other than becoming dry and looks scaly from being dry. I've been putting a good amount of Lubriderm (unscented) on it, and it stings like hell, but that's from the road rash.. I was just curious if the road rash will affect the way the tattoo is going to turn out. Im 17 and paid my dad's friend to do it. Very professional, no prison looking stuff. I asked my dad and he said it wouldn't but hes only got a few little tats. Now ive got more ink on one arm than he does on his entire body. I really hope me not thinking isn't going to mess up the tattoo..
