How can i get noticed as a basketball player in Canada?

Do I like have to go to some big high school because beside my house there's this high school called St. Marguerite D'youville Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario and some people got scouted and are now going to some basketball schools. Theres this one guy who went there named Tristan Thompson and now he's going to the NBA.
